Fourteen. Fourteen. Fourteen. Six.

Those are Ole Miss’s missed tackles in its last four games, per Pro Football Focus: Charlotte, LSU, Florida, and then Saturday in Nashville. That is the number underneath Ole Miss 52, Vanderbilt 17, and it is the one that matters more than the scoreboard.

Pete Golding said there wasn’t one new call in the game plan. Ole Miss just got aggressive. The pass rush went from six pressures at Florida to 19 with three sacks. The defense forced four turnovers. And on today’s LOOM Flagship, Steven makes the case that this team is exactly what we thought it was in August, and that if Florida was what it took, Florida was worth it.

🎙️ What They Said

There wasn’t one new call that we put in for this game that wasn’t already a part of the system.

Pete Golding

Second half, struggled again. I feel like we were just sluggish and just kind of in a lull a little bit. And we got to fix that, because that’s not the standard.

Trinidad Chambliss

What’s crazy is we made a celebration like five minutes before we did it.

Jamarious Brown, on his touchdown

It was close. I was like, oh man, I hope they don’t take the touchdown back, my only one.
