Locked On Ole Miss — Today’s Newsletter (Tuesday, November 3, 2026)

Good morning, Everydayers. It’s Georgia week, and the wait is almost over — four days until No. 2 Georgia walks into Vaught-Hemingway on Saturday night for the biggest game of Ole Miss’s season. The Rebels got right against Auburn; now the whole country will be watching to see if they can back it up. Hotty Toddy.

On the Latest Locked On Ole Miss

On Monday’s show, Steven broke down three things from the 45-15 Auburn beatdown — and every one of them pointed to Georgia. Trinidad Chambliss ran the ball again (7 carries, 65 yards, a 26-yard score), the defense choked Auburn to 63 rushing yards, and Shekai Mills-Knight gave the offense a real plan with Kewan Lacy banged up. The blueprint for Saturday is clear: stop the run, protect the quarterback, win third down and take the ball away. As Steven put it, the Rebels “got their swagger back” — now they have to prove it against the Bulldogs.

Pete Golding said Monday that Doak Walker finalist Kewan Lacy is not expected to play against Georgia, calling the shoulder injury “a work in progress.” Luke Ferrelli’s ankle is also worth watching. The stakes couldn’t be higher for Ole Miss against Georgia

Mon., Nov. 2 · last 24 hours.

The math is simple: beat Georgia and Ole Miss owns a signature win and a real path through the 12-team College Football Playoff. The Rebels are playing to host, not host, or miss it entirely. Win out against Oklahoma, Wofford and Mississippi State after Saturday, and a 10-2 finish with a top-two scalp looks awfully good to the committee. (HottyToddy)

The line reflects Georgia’s No. 2 ranking, but the Rebels beat the Bulldogs 39-34 in last season’s playoff meeting and hold the matchup’s more dynamic passer in Trinidad Chambliss.
