Good morning, Everydayers. Five days. That’s all that stands between Oxford and the biggest home game of the year, as No. 12 Ole Miss welcomes No. 2 Georgia to Vaught-Hemingway on Saturday night. The Rebels roll into it off a 45-15 demolition of Auburn that reminded everybody what Pete Golding’s team looks like when the switch flips. Grab your coffee — here’s everything you need to start the week. Hotty Toddy.
On the Latest Locked On Ole Miss
On Sunday’s reaction show, Steven’s big takeaway was that Auburn was the perfect tonic before Georgia week — not because of the final margin, but because Ole Miss proved it could win a grind. Even without Kewan Lacy, the Rebels stayed stubborn with the run game, leaned on John David Baker’s complementary offense (13-of-16 on third down), and put that identity on film right before a Georgia defense that will try to copy Texas’s blueprint. The bottom line, in Steven’s words: “This Ole Miss football team at its best can roll Georgia. Not just beat them, roll them.” The catch — they have to play well, and the Vaught crowd has to be rabid.

Chambliss looks to climb back into the Heisman conversation
Sat., Oct. 31 · last 48 hours.
Chambliss opened the year as an early Heisman frontrunner before slipping out of the top tier after the Texas loss, but he’s still in the race. His command of the Auburn win — 263 yards, three scores and a run game he helped unlock — is exactly the kind of signature performance that gets a quarterback noticed again heading into a top-two showdown. Kewan Lacy’s status looms over Georgia week
Mon., Oct. 26.
Ole Miss’s bruising lead back and Doak Walker favorite dislocated a shoulder against Texas and sat out Auburn, where the run game thrived anyway. Pete Golding said the staff would keep evaluating his rehab, leaving his availability for Georgia as the week’s biggest question. A healthy Lacy would give the Rebels a dangerous one-two punch with Chambliss. (ESPN)
