UNIVERSITY RELEASE — Originally published by Ole Miss Athletics, Nov. 1, 2026.
The third set was the one Ole Miss had a grip on, and it still ended the same way as the first two. LSU swept the Rebels 3-0 on Sunday at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center, taking the last set 25-23 after a late Ole Miss push. The Rebels fall to 8-14 overall and 2-9 in the SEC; LSU moves to 10-10 and 5-6.
Set Scores
LSU 3, Ole Miss 0 — 25-20, 25-19, 25-23
Who Did It
- Coco Natarajan — a career-high 12 assists
- Shayla Meyer — seven kills and four blocks, with no attack errors, for a .269 night
- Jorda Crook — seven kills and two blocks
- Jaidyn Hartsfield — six kills and three aces
- Bella Bonanno — 11 digs
- Melia Johnson — five kills and a block
How It Went
LSU took the opener 25-20 and the second 25-19, and the margin in both came down to what the Tigers were doing with the ball rather than anything Ole Miss stopped doing. The third was the Rebels’ best look at a set — they pushed it to 23 before LSU closed it out 25-23.
Meyer’s afternoon is the line worth keeping: seven kills and four blocks without a single attack error. Natarajan’s 12 assists were a career high in the middle of a match Ole Miss lost in straight sets, and Hartsfield’s three aces were part of a five-ace team day that actually outdid LSU’s three.
The Numbers
LSU finished with 47 kills to Ole Miss’s 30 and hit .278 to the Rebels’ .136 — the gap that decided it. Assists went 47 to 27. Ole Miss won the two columns it could: aces 5 to 3, and blocks 6.5 to 5. Errors were close, 17 for LSU to 16 for Ole Miss.
