Ole Miss vs. Auburn Odds: Ten Sportsbooks, and FanDuel Is Standing Alone

Ten sportsbooks have a number up on Saturday’s game between Auburn and Ole Miss, and nine of them agree with one another more than any of them agree with FanDuel.

Six books have the Rebels laying 13.5 at Vaught-Hemingway. Three sit at 13. FanDuel sits alone at 12.5 — a full point cheaper than the top of the board, on a game where a point is the difference between a win and a push.

Where the market sits

The spread runs from Ole Miss −12.5 to −13.5 across the ten books currently posted. The total is tighter: every book is at either 57 or 57.5. Moneylines on the Rebels range from −525 to −575, with Auburn coming back between +390 and +417.

The best number on the board

If you like Ole Miss, FanDuel’s −12.5 is the cheapest price available, and it is not close. Six books will make you lay 13.5 for the same result. In a game projected to be decided by roughly two scores, that extra point lands squarely on one of the most common margins in college football.

If you like Auburn, the logic reverses. The +13.5 sitting at DraftKings, Caesars, Fanatics, Bovada, BetUS and MyBookie is the number worth having, and FanDuel’s +12.5 is the one to avoid.

On the moneyline, BetMGM has the shortest Rebels price at −525. BetUS pays the most on an Auburn upset at +417. The gap between the best and worst Auburn moneyline is 27 cents, which on a $100 ticket is real money for the same outcome.

How the line got here

This number has not been still since it opened.

Sunday morning it was out at Ole Miss −11.5 with a total of 56.5. By Sunday midday FanDuel had jumped all the way to −13.5 while DraftKings had not moved off −11.5 — a two-point disagreement between the two largest books in the country, which is rare on a game this visible.

Overnight the two of them traded places. FanDuel came back down to −12.5. DraftKings climbed to −13.5. And the total moved up two full points market-wide, from 55.5 on Sunday to 57 and 57.5 on Monday morning.

A line that moves two points in a day, reverses, and drags the total up with it is a line still searching for its level. There is a week of movement left before kickoff.

The Rebels come home off a 34-27 loss at Texas. It is an early kick in Oxford on Halloween, and the number says the market expects Ole Miss to handle it comfortably.
