Ole Miss at Texas: The Line Has Moved Six Points Toward the Rebels

No. 7 Ole Miss (5-1) heads to Austin on Saturday night to face No. 19 Texas (4-2), 7:30 PM ET on ABC. When the line first went up, the books made Texas a 9.5-point favorite. By Thursday afternoon, that number had been cut to 3.5 at every major sportsbook.

That is a six-point move during game week, and all of it went one direction: toward the Rebels.

Opener per the VegasInsider consensus line. Thursday numbers pulled from FanDuel on Oct. 22, 2026, at 4:21 PM ET.

The moneyline tells the story even more clearly. At the open, the market gave Ole Miss roughly a 26% chance to win in Austin once the bookmaker’s cut is removed. At FanDuel’s current prices, that number is about 41%.

Why the Number Matters

The spread crossed two of the most important numbers in college football on the way down. Seven is the most common final margin, and four is close behind. The line went through both. It now sits at 3.5, a half point above a field goal.

That hook is the line to watch. FanDuel is charging -114 to take Ole Miss +3.5, a little more than the standard -110. Books often adjust the price before they move the number, so the juice suggests the money is still leaning toward the Rebels. If that keeps up, the line could drop to a flat 3 before kickoff.

All four books agree on the number. The differences are in the price. FanDuel has the cheapest price on Ole Miss +3.5, while BetMGM pays the most on an Ole Miss moneyline at +140. The total has not moved from its 54.5 opener at FanDuel.

The Bottom Line

When the line opened, the market saw a comfortable Texas win at home. Now it sees something much closer to a coin flip, with roughly a field goal of home-field advantage built in. We will track the FanDuel number every morning on LOOM Flagship through kickoff.
