UNIVERSITY RELEASE — Originally published by Ole Miss Athletics, Oct. 11, 2026.
Andrea Nova and Alice Soulie beat two LSU pairs in the same day on Sunday to reach the doubles final at the ITA Southern Regional Championships in Baton Rouge, and Alice Battesti came through a second-set tiebreak to win her singles quarterfinal.
Singles — Quarterfinals
- Alice Battesti def. Tulane’s Campbell Ricci, 6-4, 7-6(7-5)
- Andrea Nova fell to Auburn’s Ashton Bowers, 6-4, 6-2
Doubles
- Quarterfinals: Nova and Soulie def. LSU’s Tegan Bush and Dora Miskovic, 8-3
- Semifinals: Nova and Soulie def. LSU’s Aya El Aouni and Nada Fouad, 6-4, 7-5
- Quarterfinals: Riley Crowder and Sarah Nita fell to Tulane’s Whitley Pate and Summer Chandler, 8-6
The 8-3 quarterfinal was the most lopsided Rebel result of the day. The semifinal against El Aouni and Fouad was the harder one and Nova and Soulie took both sets anyway, 6-4 and 7-5, without needing a decider.
Nova’s afternoon cut both ways — out of the singles draw in the quarterfinals, into the doubles final a few hours later. Battesti needed a 7-5 tiebreak to close hers out, and Crowder and Nita went out on the narrowest margin of the three Rebel doubles results, 8-6.
