Ole Miss went to Knoxville on Friday night and never got the match off the ground, swept in three sets by No. 10 Tennessee at Food City Center. The Rebels fall to 8-7 overall and even their league record at 2-2; the Lady Volunteers move to 11-3 and 2-2.

Who Did It
- Shayla Meyer — eight kills and five digs on .375 hitting, the only Rebel to find any efficiency
- Cameron Bradley — 11 digs
- Jorda Crook — three kills and three blocks
- Nina Moorer — two kills and three blocks
- Melia Johnson — two kills
- Sophie Taylor — two kills off the bench in the third set
- Keirstyn Carlton and Tenesyn Frye each added a kill; Vivianna Samaniego served the Rebels’ lone ace
The Margins
The hitting line is the match, and it is a stark one. Ole Miss put down 19 kills against 18 errors on 71 swings — a .014 clip for the night. Tennessee had 37 kills on 10 errors and 75 attempts and hit .360. The scoring column followed: 56 points to 24.
The serve was just as lopsided. Tennessee struck for 12 aces to Ole Miss’s one, which kept the Rebels out of system for most of three sets and shows up in the assist count, 32-19 in the Lady Volunteers’ favor. Tennessee also finished with seven blocks to Ole Miss’s four. Kennedi Rogers led the home side with 14 kills.
