Ole Miss men’s cross country wrapped up its regular season Friday at the Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin, finishing 26th out of 35 collegiate teams in a men’s 8K “A” race that sent more than 230 runners to the line. Kidus Misgina again led the Rebels, crossing 28th in 23:12.9.
Men’s 8K “A” Race — 26th of 35 Teams
Misgina was the only Rebel inside the top 100 of one of the deepest fields on the regular-season calendar. The next two Ole Miss runners came through within four tenths of a second of each other, with John Shoemaker 111th and Owen Kelley 113th.

The gap from Misgina to the fifth Rebel across was 1:35.3, and the gap from Misgina to the second Rebel was 45.3 seconds — the same shape of race the Rebels ran at Gans Creek two weeks ago, when Misgina finished fourth in 22:42.6 and the next Ole Miss runner was 42 seconds back.
Men’s 8K “B” Race
Two Rebels ran the “B” race, a 122-runner field. Sean Donoghue finished 45th in 24:41.0 and Aidan Hodge was 69th in 25:04.1.
