Good morning, Everydayers. We’re four days out from kickoff in Nashville, and No. 9 Ole Miss gets its best news of the week on the practice field: Kewan Lacy is expected back Saturday. Pete Golding spent the bye hammering tackling, Vanderbilt is far better than its record suggests, and the adidas bombshell is still echoing across the SEC. Let’s get into it. Hotty Toddy.
On the Latest Locked On Ole Miss
On yesterday’s show, I dug into why teams keep getting blown out a week after their biggest win — Ole Miss at Florida, then Florida at Missouri — and why this bye actually sets the Rebels up differently: 14 days off a loss, not a high. I walked all seven SEC Week 6 lines, including Ole Miss as a 9.5-point favorite in Nashville (a FanDuel number, and no, not a pick — just what the market believes). And yes, we got into the apparel news. As I put it: “Adidas did not outbid Nike. They made an offer that Nike could not counteroffer.”
