Herman Shares the Lead and Four Rebels Crack the Top 15: Women’s Golf Opens The Ally Four Clear

No. 20 Ole Miss women’s golf opened The Ally with a 7-under 281 on Monday at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, and walked off with a four-stroke lead. Four Rebels are inside the top 15 individually after 18 holes.

Herman Ties for the Individual Lead

Lisa Herman carded a 4-under 68 to share the top of the individual leaderboard with Mississippi State’s Avery Weed and Virginia Tech’s Valentine Delon.

Kajsalotta Svarvar was right behind her at 3-under 69, good for a tie for fourth. Herman and Svarvar each made five birdies, the best mark on the team.

A Deep Counting Four

Matilda Björkman and Ebba Lundqvist both turned in even-par 72s and sit tied for 14th. Those two rounds are what carried the two low ones into a team lead. Mary Miller posted a 7-over 79 that the Rebels were able to drop.

  • T1. Lisa Herman — 68, 4-under
  • T4. Kajsalotta Svarvar — 69, 3-under
  • T14. Matilda Björkman — 72, even
  • T14. Ebba Lundqvist — 72, even
  • Mary Miller — 79, 7-over

Team total: 281, 7-under — a four-stroke lead.
