Vlado Jankanj keeps winning in Fayetteville. The Ole Miss sophomore pushed another round deeper at the ITF M15 Fayetteville on Wednesday, handling Vanderbilt’s Pablo Martinez Gomez in straight sets to reach the Round of 16.
The Result
Vlado Jankanj def. Pablo Martinez Gomez (Vanderbilt) — 6-3, 6-3
How It Went
This one never got away from him. Jankanj was in charge from the start and took both sets by the same 6-3 margin — a cleaner outing than the qualifying final he had come through a day earlier, which needed a second-set tiebreak to finish.
Up Next
Jankanj is back on court Thursday at 9 a.m. CT for his Round of 16 match at the ITF M15 Fayetteville.
