The deepest run of the Ole Miss men’s tennis fall is over. Moritz Kudernatsch and Pietro Pampanin fell in straight sets to Ohio State’s Nikita Filin and Brandon Carpico in the doubles main draw semifinals at the ITA Men’s All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma, ending a week that had carried the Rebel pair two matches from a national title.

How It Went
The scoreline splits cleanly in two. The first set went the distance and into a tiebreak before Ohio State took it 7-6. The second set did not go that way at all — Filin and Carpico took it 6-0 and closed the match out in straight sets.
What the Week Was
Kudernatsch and Pampanin reached the semifinals on the strength of wins in the earlier rounds of the main draw. A semifinal appearance at the All-American is the high-water mark of the Rebels’ fall season to this point.
