Ole Miss men’s tennis was back at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center for qualifying play at the ITA Men’s All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Rebels had two matches on the board — one in doubles qualifying, one in singles — and both went the other way.
Doubles Qualifying
Kai Milburn and Igor Kudriashov drew a Penn pairing that included Shaurya Bhardwaj in the Round of 32, and they got out in front of it. The first set went to a tiebreak and the Rebels took it 7-6 (9-7).
Penn answered in the second, taking it 6-2 to force a deciding super tiebreak. That one stayed close all the way — Penn closed it out 13-11.
Singles Qualifying
Kudriashov played again in the singles qualifying Round of 64 and ran into UCLA’s Andy Nguyen, who won it in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.
