Ole Miss soccer’s first SEC road trip produced three shots and no goals. Auburn scored twice inside the opening 36 minutes and added a third early in the second half for a 3-0 win Friday night at the Auburn Soccer Complex. The Rebels fall to 7-3-0 and 0-2-0 in conference play; Auburn moves to 5-1-3 and 1-1-0.
The Goals
Auburn broke through in the 30th minute when Gracie Brown finished an assist from Kelly Gordon for her second goal of the season. Less than six minutes later Grace Ivey doubled the lead off a pass from Layla Sirdah, and the Tigers carried a 2-0 advantage into halftime.
The third came at the 55:23 mark, when Kennedy Husbands found the back of the net for her first goal of the season.
By the Numbers
- Shots: Auburn 18, Ole Miss 3 — the Tigers placed six of theirs on goal
- Corner kicks: Auburn 8, Ole Miss 3
- Anna Claire Jacobi — all 90 minutes in goal, three saves
All three Rebel attempts came from different players. Alena Watts took the only one of the first half; Ava Ghoreishi and Teaghan Irvin each added a shot after the break.
