Ole Miss men’s tennis finished its first tournament of the fall with a trophy. Junior Kai Milburn and sophomore Igor Kudriashov won the doubles title at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic on Sunday, closing out a weekend in which the pair never lost together.
The Final
Milburn and Kudriashov beat Ludovico Vaccari and Imran Daniel Abdul Hazli 6-3 to take the championship.
The Path There
The Rebel duo had reached the final with a pair of wins on Saturday. They opened the quarterfinals with a 6-3 win over Will Steinberg and David Fix, then came through a tighter semifinal against Matthieu Chambonniere and Maximus Dussault, 7-6.
Singles
Both Rebels also made the singles semifinals in Milwaukee. Milburn got there by beating Charlie Spencer in the quarterfinals, and Kudriashov advanced past Chambonniere in his own quarterfinal.
