Practice Report: Rebels Open 2026 Fall Camp

UNIVERSITY RELEASE — Originally published by Ole Miss Athletics, Aug. 6, 2026.

Ole Miss is back on the practice fields with preparations for the 2026 season officially underway. Head coach Pete Golding and several Rebel players met with local media Thursday to open fall camp, which runs toward the Sept. 6 opener against Louisville in Nashville.

Among the leading storylines from day one was the return of players who sat out spring practice with injuries. Golding singled out defensive linemen Edwin Joseph and Jordan Renaud, crediting the progress both made over the summer and the impact they showed on the opening day, and saying he believes both have the ability to be really good players.

Kewan Lacy offered an early read on new backfield addition Makhi Frazier, describing him as a smart, fast and physical addition who knows football and should bring energy to the running back room.
